About Department

Psychiatry is the branch of medicine that studies and treats mental health problems. Stress, anxiety, depression, and behavioural problems all have a direct effect on a person's everyday life, relationships, and ability to make decisions. So, to really understand mental health, you need to do more than just look at the symptoms. You also need to know about the patient's emotional and social history.

The Department of Psychiatry at PMCH works to understand mental health disorders through a careful and regulated clinical procedure. Our clinical staff determine what is wrong with a patient by having comprehensive conversations with them, conducting behavioural assessments, and performing clinical examinations. Then, based on what they find, they develop a treatment plan. Even while many mental health problems may not be obvious at first, the truth is that the appropriate assessment and timely support may make a huge difference in a person's life.

Vision

At PMCH, we want to create a mental health care system where patients are treated with respect, receive the right diagnosis, and receive appropriate treatment.

Mission

  • To set up a clear clinical framework for diagnosing and treating mental health problems.
  • To develop a caring and understanding way of treating patients.
  • To make it easier for medical teams to work together to provide mental care.
  • To improve patients' quality of life through better mental health care services.
