Physiology explains how the human body functions in health, helping students understand normal processes before studying disease.
Physiology is the study of how the human body functions under normal conditions. Basically, the heart works, the lungs work, and the nervous system sends signals, all of which work together to stay alive. Therefore, the beginning of the MBBS Physiology program provides students with a straightforward way to understand the body's basic mechanisms.
The Department of Physiology at PMCH focuses on imparting knowledge to students about the functioning of various body systems. Through classroom discussions and laboratory activities, our instructors guide students in analysing the functions of systems such as the circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems. While theoretical knowledge is important, the truth is established when students understand the body's workings through experimentation and observation.
At PMCH, our goal is to produce nurses who have a basic understanding of how the human body works and who can use this knowledge to diagnose diseases.
